We love new challenges because they stimulate us to test ourselves on different, interesting fronts. That’s why we are thrilled to embark on a new adventure with Meyer Werft: the renowned German shipbuilding group has just commissioned us for a part of the ambitious project by Silversea Cruises, the luxury all-inclusive cruise line under the Royal Caribbean Group.
Luxury in Port, with Engines Off
At the Meyer Werft shipyards in Papenburg, the futuristic ship Silver Nova, part of Silversea Cruises’ Project Evolution, is starting to take shape. This project aims to construct a new generation of low-impact environmental cruise ships. Silver Nova will be the first hybrid ship of its kind, ensuring zero polluting emissions in port areas, a groundbreaking development in the cruise industry.
This innovation will reduce CO2 emissions by over 40%. An internal automatic micro-gasification system will also help minimise waste volume on board. We are thrilled to be part of this environmentally sustainable direction, which aligns perfectly with our values.
The Made-in-Sicily Restaurant
Delivery is scheduled for summer 2023, and in the coming months, our workshops will also be working on this project. Our role in the grand Silver Nova project involves furnishing the restaurant sector. Specifically, we will create the furnishings for one of the most important restaurants on board, La Terrazza, dedicated to Italy like all the ships in this line. This gives us more reason to excel in our expertise: Italian-made furnishings. Once again, we will bring forth our know-how and utilise 4.0 technologies to ensure the utmost precision in every construction detail.
We are currently in the midst of preparatory phases, from creating designs to engineering feasibility projects. We can’t wait to move on to the construction phase. Thanks to the internalisation of furnishing production, we can optimise each detail of the project in real time and constantly monitor the timeline for the completion of each furniture piece. This allows us to provide our new clients with the highest quality within specified timeframes.
